  3. =====  CRC Xmodem Transfer Protocol Support  ===========  BULLETIN # 5  =====

  5.   The board now supports CRC (Cyclic Redundency Checking) Xmodem transfer
  6.   protocol along with normal (or checksum) Xmodem transfers.
  7.  
  8.   CRC Xmodem allows users of Qmodem to transfer files using the CRC block
  9.   checking format - which is slightly more accurate than regular Xmodem.

  11.   CRC block checking provides about 99.9% accuracy during file transfers,
  12.   whereas regular Xmodem is about 99.6% accurate.

  14.   The new protocol can be specified as your default transfer protocol
  15.   type if desired  - which is saved for all future calls.

  17.   If anyone accidentally requests either a normal or CRC Xmodem transfer
  18.   and then starts the wrong one from their software, the board will try to
  19.   automatically adjust to the proper one.  If anyone has any problems with
  20.   the new protocol, please leave me a comment explaining the situation.
